In support of TEGNA’s mission to serve the greater good of our communities and our stated Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion goals, in 2022, TEGNA Foundation formed an employee-led committee to ensure our DE&I grantmaking has even greater impact.
The DE&I Grant Committee is charged with identifying and recommending grants to nonprofits and programs working to provide critical support and resources to underserved groups or communities, while also creating positive and lasting change.
The Foundation particularly favors making grants to organizations that are led by a diverse staff and serving the communities where TEGNA does business.
Call for Proposals for Grants Supporting Environmental Justice
TEGNA Foundation’s DE&I Grant committee is requesting grant proposals for programs focused on environmental justice efforts in the areas where TEGNA does business. The Committee is especially interested in programs addressing environmental and public health concerns in marginalized communities, including equitable access to clean water, programs encouraging stewardship of the environment, and programs focused on aiding those impacted by pollution and disasters.
Proposals and supporting documents should be emailed in one combined PDF document to foundation@tegna.com by Friday, April 7th. TEGNA Foundation will not accept proposals by mail.
